Faith Without Works Is Dead

With the advent of AI there is a growing number of box tickers, and I have been tempted to join them. But there is something about faith that does not allow you to show up halfway.

With the advent of AI there is a growing number of "box tickers" in both the industries I operate in and I have been tempted to do the same. I realise that as a Christian business owner, we are called to do more than just show up. Faith without works is dead; James was not playing around. (James 2:17)

There is something about faith that does not allow you to be at half mast. To show up halfway and say you walked the path. You're not allowed to be lukewarm. God himself said, "Because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I am about to spit you out." (Revelation 3:16)

Being lukewarm is not the same as being wrong or being sinful. A man cannot make himself righteous; the most he can do is turn to God to be sanctified. For you non-Christians, all that jargon means that you can't work your way into heaven; God forgives you, then cleans you to present you to himself blameless.

Since this is on LinkedIn, I know you are waiting for the big "business lesson" and how this helped me meet KPIs in that one tricky quarter; it's not coming.

This is a message to all Christians to clean up their act and stop giving half measures. You are representatives of the most high King, act like it. Show up and do the work. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord. (Colossians 3:23) You are supposed to work with your hands and bring glory to the kingdom, and do all this while you enjoy life.

Do your best, God will do the rest. Have an amazing day.
